Victoria Fueger, PMHNP

Hello! I’m Victoria, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in healthcare. I am passionate about offering support to individuals and couples as they navigate life's challenges.

My approach emphasizes the importance of establishing meaningful connections and fostering self-awareness. As part of this, I can also work with you to assess the potential benefits and risks of medication. It is important to me that you are an active collaborator in your care. Together, we can determine the most effective path for your specific needs. This may involve exploring how certain medical conditions may be impacting your mental health.

I strive to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment that fosters personal growth and healing. My therapeutic approach encompasses various techniques, including psychodynamic and supportive psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and humanistic-existential solution-focused psychotherapy. Additionally, I am trained in stabilizing trauma and techniques to address dissociation, and I am trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which can be beneficial in processing adverse life experiences.

My specialization includes working with people of all ages. I love working with children and adolescents, adults, couples, the elderly, as well as those facing addiction-related issues. My goal is to provide a safe and understanding space for each person to receive the support they need to thrive.

My practice is grounded in the principles of deep witnessing and presence, reflected in the phrase "sawabona," meaning "I see you." If you are interested in exploring a working relationship with me, I welcome the opportunity to meet with you! I am currently accepting new clients and scheduling appointments for September 2024.

Alexis Gade, LPC

Hello! My name is Alexis Gade and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I strive to offer clients a safe and compassionate environment to explore barriers they might be facing that are preventing them from living to their full potential as well as identifying strengths to achieve their goals. I utilize strategies from various modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure/Response Prevention, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to create a tailored, individualized approach to therapy.

I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with anxiety and OCD. Through therapy, I work with clients to help them accept their anxieties rather than fight against them in order to live life according to their values. Through acceptance and mindfulness, clients can work on getting unstuck from their thoughts and be more present in their daily life.

Another area of focus of mine is helping women and mothers during challenging life transitions, including the prenatal and postpartum periods. While these periods can include joy and excitement, it can also be a time of vulnerability and change. I am a believer that all changes, even positive changes, can be challenging and stressful. I’m here to walk you through these changes and help explore the many different facets of motherhood.

I also love working with military families, especially spouses and children of service members. I am passionate about helping military families navigate various challenges with compassion. I have completed the Star Behavioral Health Providers training for military service members and families.

I look forward to working with you on your healing journey in a welcoming, non judgmental environment.

Alexis specializes is: Obsessive-Compulsive Behaviors and Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Perinatal Mental Health, Postpartum Depression/Anxiety, Life Transitions, Acceptance-Based Care, Trauma-Informed Care, Parenting Support, Military Family Support.
