MTC is unable to verify individual benefits and coverage. Please contact your insurance provider directly to verify your coverage.
For all other insurance companies, MTC is considered “out of network” and the therapy rate would be applied. We accept all major credit cards and HSA/FSA accounts.
The rate is $180 per individual 50 minute session and $200 per couples therapy 50 minute session. Payment will be collected at the time of service. To avoid being charged the $90 late fee, please reschedule or cancel appointments 24-hours before your appointment.
Out of Network Benefits
Modern Thrive Counseling currently accepts these insurances: Anthem/BCBS, Dean, Quartz, and The Alliance. For all other insurances, you may have out-of-network benefits, which means that insurance will reimburse you for a portion of our session cost. We have partnered with Thrizer to handle the out-of-network process automatically for you. With Thrizer, you will only have to pay your co-insurance for our sessions, instead of paying my full fee and waiting for reimbursements. This can save you on average 70% upfront on our sessions. During our intake process, I can help you verify if you have out-of-network benefits and how much your co-insurance would be.
Modern Thrive Counseling Financial Policy:
Our focus at Modern Thrive Counseling is to deliver high quality care with each of our clients. We believe that in order to best accommodate our clients, the financial component of therapy needs to be met timely so that it does not impact ongoing care. Please read the following carefully as our policy is non-negotiable.
If appropriate, we bill insurance the day our sessions occur. Insurance reimbursement typically takes 3-4 weeks after we submit the claim. In signing this document, you attest to the fact that you are fully aware of your insurance plan, co-payments, deductibles, coverage etc. and acknowledge that if for any reason insurance does not reimburse Modern Thrive Counseling, you are responsible for the full hourly fee of either $220 (intake) or $180 (ongoing therapy).
New Clients: Valid credit card information will be collected for purposes of collecting co-payments, late cancellation and/or no-show penalties, lapses in insurance coverage, and any non-clinical requests such as preparation of FMLA or court related needs.
Couples: Insurance typically does not cover the cost of couple's sessions. Please verify with your insurance that they cover the CPT code 90847. All therapy sessions not covered by insurance will be bill out-of-pocket and charged to the credit card on file.
CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING POLICY:
We are honored to work with you and we dedicate your requested appointment time just for you. We ask that you also dedicate your time to us. Last minute cancellations hurt our therapists as they often are unable to fill the reserved time slot.
To ensure optimal service for all our valued clients, we have implemented a no-exception cancellation policy. If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please reach out to your therapist via email with a full 24 hours before the beginning of your appointment.
The 24-hour notice is essential to respect our therapists’ busy schedules. Changes to work schedule, travel schedule, work related emergencies, school changes, sick at home and not willing to shift to a virtual appointment, etc. will all be considered late cancellations without the proper 24 hours notice. Additionally, if you show up 15 minutes past the session hour without contacting your therapist to arrange for accommodations, you will be charged a no-show fee of $90.

Cancelling within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment or not showing up for your scheduled appointment will result in a charge of $90.
